Pathfinders - 1st - 3rd Grade
The Pathfinder Program incorporates a clinic format with extensive game play to introduce lacrosse to beginners and enhance the established skills of more experienced players. The focus will be on lacrosse fundamentals and elementary game strategy with an emphasis towards teamwork and sportsmanship. The program is run primarily in clinic format to encourage learning of basic skills and fundamentals through fun drills. Teams will be organized for game play following the first few sessions. Team assignments may change from week to week. Coaches will include former high school and college players with assistance from current high school players. Andrew Stanley, the head boys' varsity lacrosse coach and a teacher at Collegiate, is the field director of the Pathfinders boys. Andrew runs numerous lacrosse camps and has developed a teaching approach that emphasizes skill development and a love for competition in a fun environment. All players will receive a Geronimo jersey and mouth guard. Pathfinder boys will need full lacrosse equipment, including stick, helmet, gloves, arm and shoulder pads. See the Equipment Information page for details and purchasing alternatives. Registration may be limited to 120 players.
